SOUTHWARK FARMHOUSE MASTERPLAN New public toilets will be installed all around the borough to generate energy from the biodigesters. The most popular toilets will then cause new farmhouses to grow as communities begin to grow around the biodigesters.  A new congestion zone will be implemented around the Southwark borough where no petrol producing cars will be allowed through the gates, The congestion zone will be managed by green policemen who will be housed in small elevated police stations dotted around the borough.  London boroughs now have the duty, under section 40 of the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act, to have regard for biodiversity. Currently parks and open spaces account for 12% of Southwark’s overall land use with 32 parks, this project will seek to increase this to at least 90% leaving only the transport roads free. New planning laws will be implemented in the borough where all new roofs, balconies and walls will need to be used to grow a certain quantity of vegetables or provide  garden space.
